By road
Essex Street runs north-south between The Strand (opposite the Royal Courts of Justice) and the Thames Embankment. Cars have no access from the Embankment end. If coming from the east, along Fleet Street, simply turn left immediately after passing the Royal Courts of Justice. If travelling from the north or west, follow the Aldwych Crescent round to a traffic-lit junction taking you towards the river, into Arundel Street. Then turn first left, left and right through the rather small Milford Lane and Little Essex Street into Essex Street proper.
By Underground/ on foot
The nearest Tube Station is Temple (District and Circle lines). Turn left out of the station, go up the steps, and turn right onto Temple Place. Follow the road until it bears to the right, and turn left into Milford Lane. Go up the steps and into Essex Street. Walk a short distance and the office is on the right hand side. Other nearby tube stations are Covent Garden (Piccadilly line), Charing Cross (Northern, Bakerloo and Mainline Rail), Holborn (Piccadilly and Central lines) and Chancery Lane (Central line).
By bus/ on foot
Bus No.s 4, 11, 15, 23, 26, 76, 172 and 341 stop at the top of Essex Street. If you travel from the north or west, you will have to cross at the zebra crossing in front of the Royal Courts of Justice. All buses travelling south along Kingsway from Holborn tube station stop in the Aldwych crescent (from which stop the Royal Courts and 28 Essex Street are only a short walk).
