Client Profile
My client is one of the UK's leading luxury golf and spa hotels and is searching for a dynamic and creative Director of Sales to lead its sales force in the development of new sales initiatives. Set in 1400 acres of scenic parkland, the resort offers three of the finest championship golf courses in the UK, a luxury spa, a five-star hotel (400 rooms/suites) and conference centre (up to 1500 delegates) as well as varied outdoor pursuits i.e. shooting, tennis, fishing and hiking.
Job Specification
- Implement the Resort business development and sales activity plans and strategies to fully incorporate the selling of the Resort facilities and services including the Spa, Golf and Food & Beverage outlets
- To recruit, train, develop and incentivise corporate and membership sales teams (10)
- Establish and maintain effective and positive relationships within the team & resort
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual budgets in conjunction with the CEO
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within their department(s), including but not limited to employee, customer, financial and health and safety objectives
- Responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining a sound organisational structure within the department(s), focused on achieving the Resort and departmental goals
- Responsible for ensuring that all staff appraisals are conducted routinely and effectively for all employees within the department(s) and that the results are auctioned where required to ensure a personal development plan is set and maintained for each member of the team in the department
- Establish sales targets highlighting any variances with actual sales figures and recommend what action should be taken to remedy significant variances
- Attend major travel, trade and corporate functions to network and promote the Resort
- Define and target markets to be solicited utilising data contained in the Delphi system and develop an appropriate sale solicitation strategy for both domestic and international markets
Person Specification
- Results driven with proven success leading teams in similar environment
- Impeccable personal and professional sales presentation skills
- Thorough knowledge of the Resort market both nationally and internationally
- Enjoys travelling
- Has understanding of high end leisure and M & E markets
- A natural leader with highly developed negotiating abilities
Remuneration
Up to £50,000 + car + bonus + benefits
