Our client is a hugely successful and award winning contract caterer operating a portfolio of significant and prestigious venues throughout the UK. Job Specification
Responsible for the sales and marketing of an eclectic mix of 21 nation wide venues including convention centres, sporting venues, business centres and historic buildings. Responsible for the sales within a £25 million business comprising of mainly conference and banqueting but encompassing corporate hospitality, event management and exhibition sales. You will need to form close relationships with key clients and lead negotiations with key internal and external accounts. This said the over whelming responsibility is to develop a pro-active and professional sales culture among the sales teams within each venue, to mentor and develop the team members in order to achieve annual sales targets and deliver outstanding performance.
Person Specification
Preferably from a Conference centre, exhibition or venue background the ideal candidate will have a significant and proven sales background either at a regional or area level or within a high quality, high volume environment. You will be tenacious and dynamic and above all a proven leader of people who is comfortable with managing a team of individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds. You will have a strong managerial background with exceptional financial awareness and the ability to manage and develop the existing successful business by driving volume, profitability and standards.
