MICE Sales Manager - 4* deluxe conference centre - Surrey - £35,000
Client Profile
One of the UK's premier hotel and conference centre groups has a fantastic opportunity for a MICE Sales Manager to join their team. The venue boasts 111 stunning bedrooms and state-of-the-art conference facilities in 40 meeting rooms, and is set in acres of parkland and tranquil surroundings near Dorking. This role combines pro-active sales and sourcing new accounts with the maintenance and development of the existing hotel client base to achieve sales and profitability targets through the maximisation of conference and event potential.
Job Specification
- Achieve budgeted revenue targets for the venue
- Provide total account management to corporate clients
- Achieve monthly appointment levels through account penetration and new business development
- Follow up all leads and enquiries within 24 hours
- Represent the venue and company at trade shows, exhibitions and industry related events as required
- Ensure client information is accurate and up to date in PMS system
- Organise and conduct FAM trips and client visits as necessary
- Liaise with GM on sales activity, performance and initiatives
- Produce regular sales reports
- Attend meetings as required
- Maintain effective communication with relevant departments / sales teams
- Quantify and maximise all opportunities to ensure profitability
Person Specification
Candidates should have successful proactive MICE sales and new business development experience as well as proven account management skills. Knowledge of the local London / Surrey MICE markets is desirable. Candidates should be a self-motivated, highly organised and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Remuneration
Up to £35,000 per annum + 30% bonus
