An exciting position has arisen for a Food and Beverage led professional to head up and manage a small team in a unique and challenging range of racecourse contracts across the Midlands. This growing organisation, which is engaged in quality hospitality, and public catering with a loyal client base, is seeking new talent to support the senior team through further growth.
Job Specification
Management of the ‘step-in’ step-out’ provision of on-site race day hospitality across three racecourse and restaurant businesses, with occasional support to others where required.
Turnover of each site varies and is around £85k
This is a post, designed to provide clear business leadership from a hands on perspective, with direction to standards, ensuring strong performance, and a keen eye to profitability and future innovation.
The General Manager will be reporting on all aspects of the trading operation including business planning and performance, budgetary control and service standards.
Person Specification
Excellent leadership skills, and proven hands on F&B management experience within a commercial environment are a given. This exciting and rewarding role requires a creative slant, which the resources of a small team demand. The ability to manage the business (with an eye to improving turnover and profitability), while raising the quality of service to the customers is essential.
Client influencing skills would be a distinct advantage
