Client Profile

Set in the heart of the Lakes, this unique privately owned Spa property is reinventing itself for the future, and is mid-way through a spectacular and discerning refurbishment, which will set it apart from the rest.

Catering to a wide range of visitors (with some seasonal fluctuations), the hotel is set to continue its aim to become the most successful top-end family hotel across the Lakes, whilst also appealing to those guests in search of a pamper break, corporate getaway, or fine dining visitor experience.

With the refurbishment yet to complete, and further business to generate, we are seeking a well-rounded senior General Manager to take the business forward for our Client.

Job Description

General Manager of a fabulous, partly renovated 4 star, unique hotel set in the heart of the Lake District. Circa 50 bedrooms, 2 restaurants, busy food-led pub, health club and luxury spa.

Impact on the sales and profitability of the business and deliver an excellent P & L. Financially responsible for the day to day aspects including the preparation of feasibility papers, budgets and forecasts.

In charge of service delivery and compliance throughout the business including project mobilisation and an innovative approach to marketing and seasonal promotion.

Other management responsibilities include security, compliance, and liaison with outside authorities.

Person Specification

Dynamic, smart, articulate and passionate about service are all qualities that are essential in leading this small and committed team through growth and change, to further success.

A leader by example, the successful candidate will have the ability to switch between a range of tasks across any given time frame.

Adaptability is a mainstay of the Hotel team, and that includes a dynamic and focussed approach to the figures, as well as the visitor experience.

A friendly individual with a genuine feel for true Hospitality would be a distinct advantage.

A track record within a quality named operation, proving fiscal aptitude, and marketing led successes, along with team leadership will be required.
