A terrific opportunity has arisen for a Meetings & Events Sales Executive to join the Events Team at this stunning, contemporary 4* hotel. This internationally branded hotel comprises over 300 bedrooms and suites, a critically acclaimed restaurant, fitness centre plus 16 meeting rooms and a state-of-the-art auditorium. Situated in central London the hotel is minutes away from Kings Cross and St Pancras stations and a short tube ride away from the West End, Covent Garden and the City.
Job Specification
- Respond to enquiries from clients / agents in a professional manner
- Practice effective and efficient yield management in line with guidelines
- Maximise revenue opportunities and promote special offers where appropriate
- Prepare contracts and ensure maximum conversion of business
- Conduct show rounds and client meetings for new and existing clients
- Participate in familiarisation trips where necessary
- Ensure client receives a detailed event order in advance of the event and communicate details to all operational departments
- Produce and distribute weekly event orders for forthcoming events
- Greet event clients on arrival and maintain a presence throughout the event
- Receive feedback from the client after the event, resolve any issues and feedback relevant comments to hotel personnel
- Ensure accounting procedures are adhered to at all times, reconcile invoices within 48 hours
- Record all denied business and refer to other group properties
- Keep client files in order and up to date
- Maintain the Sales & Catering database ensuring accuracy of input
- Attend and participate in all internal meetings, including the pre-convention meeting
- Manage and support the event sales team to ensure productivity and motivation
Person Specification
- Candidates should have proven successful experience in event sales management within the London hotel sector
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organisational abilities are essential
- Candidates should be well presented and professional with an enthusiasm and drive to succeed in event sales
Remuneration
Up to £34,000 per annum
